Grant Awards of the President of Ukraine for Young Scholars

National Fund of the Fundamental Research (then - NFFR) and Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine “About the Additional Arrangements Concerning the Support of Young Scholars ” from April 9, 2002 № 315/2002 and the Statute about the procedure of awarding the grants of President of Ukraine for young scholars scientific research support (then - grants) approved by the Decree of the President of Ukraine from December 24, 2002 № 1210/2002 announce the realization of young scholars scientific projects for getting the stated grants.

Applications for the participations in the contest are given to March 31, 2006 inclusive.

General Statements

1. Young scholars at the age (for 31.03.06): Doctors of Science – under 35 years, doctoral students – under 33 years, candidates of science – under 30 years are awarded with grants.
   Grant amount of money totals: for Doctors of Science – 30 thousands grivnas; for doctoral students – 25 thousands grivnas; for candidates of science – 20 thousands grivnas.
2. The grants may be given for the both realization of new scientific research and for the ones that are the continuation of the previous research (including also the ones, for which realization the grants have already been given).
3. The examining of the contest applications and their expert evaluation are realized by NFFR in accordance with the prescribed procedure.
4. The President of Ukraine assigns the grants for young scholars with a corresponding order in accordance with the presenting it by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
5. After the grant’s assignment Grant’s objective financing after its assignment is realized with NFFR funds on the basis of an agreement between the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the grant-getter and enterprise (establishment, organization) that is responsible to provide the realization of scientific research.
