for making of the memorable sign sketch ideas in honour of the students protest action anniversary in Sumy
Aim of the contest is to bring to light the most interesting idea of the memorable sign and determine an optimal place for its establishment on the territory of the SSU. The participants of the contest have to present their sketch-idea of the memorable sign with the indication of a concrete place of its location. The material is presented on the lists of Whatman paper (or plane-tables) of a standard size 614õ841, located aflat in two rows in height. The number of lists – not more than 2 pieces.
Mandatory structure of project materials: situation plan of location of the object in the city (Ì 1:10000); general plan of the area (Ì 1:500); fronts (Ì 1:100 or 1:50); perspective, axonometry, photomontage or a model; explanatory notes in the structure of the main exposition with economical indices (up to 2 pages of typescript of the format À4). Sizes and indications must be mentioned on all the drawings.
Contest projects are delivered under the motto which is a combination of 7 numbers, chosen by the author from 0 till 9 (height 10 mm). The motto is put on the first piece of explanatory notes, and also at each plane-table of the project in the right lower corner (in the rectangle of the size 15õ70 mm). There is added a sealed motto envelope, on the outer face of which there is depicted a motto chosen by the participant of the contest put in the rectangle of the foregoing size. In the middle of the envelope (of the format À4) there must be indicated surname, first name and patronymic name, number of children, their names and age, postal address, phone number and fax number of the participant. If this is an author collective, then the whole list with the above-mentioned data and signatures of all the members of the collective is presented, a report about percentage distribution between them must be enclosed. Full anonymity of the participants is guaranteed at all the stages of the contest.
Projects in full structure together with the motto envelope must be handed in until 17 p.m. on 25.04.2005 to the coordinator of the contest S.P. Khomutinnik to the address: Sumy, Ryms’kogo-Korsakova Str. 2, room 152 of the Central building, or sent during the established term by post. It is necessary to inform the coordinator about it during the day by fax and add a copy of the postal receipt. Phone/fax: (+38-0542) 33-03-85. Preservation of all the contest projects during the examination period and decision-making of the jury is guaranteed.
To the project-winner, that is the one taken for realization, there is put up a purse (1000 UAH). The name of its author will be put onto the memorable sign.

Decision of the jury is taken by the simple amount of voices and is definitive. Contest projects will be demonstrated at the free entrance exhibition. There will be printed motto projects as well, after it the secretary of the jury and coordinator of the contest will announce the results to winners and other participants of the contest.
