The Konotop Institute of the Sumy State University

According to the command of the ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine №442 of 08.06.2001. in the structure of the Sumy State University there has been founded the Konotop Institute of the Sumy State University as a separate structure subdivision with the organization of education on its basis in the daily and extra-mural forms.

Daily form of education

The admitted students are taken to the University to all the disciplines that are announced at the Sumy State University, but for the directions 0601 Jurisprudence, 0803 Mechanics, 0708 Ecology, 1101 Medicine. 0116 Chemical Technology and Engineering, 0305 Philology.

The academic process at the first course is carried out at the University on the condition of forming of the actual student contingent of the students in the quantity not less than one academic group in each of the following directions of training:

• 0501 Enterprise economics, 0502 Management;
• 0802 Applied Mathematics, 0804 Computer sciences;
• 0802 Applied Mathematics, 0804 Computer sciences;
• 0905 Energetics, 0000 Specific sciences (7.000008 Energetical management);
• 0908 Electronics, 0914 Computer Systems, Automatics and Control

In the case the condition is not followed the training of the admitted students is carried out at the base of the University itself.

According to the following specialty branches studying at the University will be carried out during the whole term of education till the graduation on the conditions of availability of the corresponding educational-material resources, teaching staff and according to the specialty branch of availability of the st contingent, necessary for making up an academic group:

• 8.050107 Enterprise Economics;
• 8.050201 Management of Organizations;
• 8.090802 Electronic Devices and Appliances.

Extra-mural Form of Education

Training of students is carried out in the following directions:

• 0501 Enterprising economics,
• 0502 Management;
• 0902 Engineering Mechanics;
• 0802 Applied Mathematics;
• 0908 Electronics.

Training courses

Self-supporting training courses work for rendering help to university entrants in preparing to entrance examinations. The term of education makes up 6,4 and 2 months. Admittance to training courses is conducted during the academic year, starting from September, 1. The beginning of studying depends on making up groups. For the students living beyond Konotop studying take place on Saturdays and Sundays.

The listeners of the training courses who are admitted to the technical specialties in the case of successful graduating from the courses and according to the availability of the contract to the intentional training of the specialist are allowed to take pre-term entrance examinations to the University. According to the results of the examinations they can be enrolled to the places of budget financing according to the taken direction of training. The listeners who did not enter on the preferential terms have a pass to take part in the general contest with the total quantity of marks of pre-term entrance examinations and take repeatedly exams on general basis.
