Mechanical-mathematical faculty

Mechanical-mathematical faculty was based in 1995.
It trains engineers-programmers, engineers-mathematics and mechanical engineers in three specialties – Applied mathematics, Information science, dynamics and power.

It has been founded in 1995; it unites 7 chairs: applied mathematics and mechanics, information science, general mechanics and dynamics of machines, mathematical analysis and methods of optimization, general and experimental physics, resistance of materials, complex systems modelling.

Education is carried out according to 155 disciplines in the field of mathematics, physics, theoretical mechanics and resistance of materials, programming, computer technologies and others.

About 450 students and 25 post-graduates study at the faculty. 81 teachers ensure educational process, among them there are 8 doctors and 51 candidates of sciences. Within the borders of specialists training in the direction «Applied mathematics» students have profound training on the PC software, telecommunication systems, complex systems modeling and mathematical modelling, and in the specialty «Dynamics and power» - on computer technologies in the systems of capsulation of rotary machines and computer diagnostics and prediction reliability.

Annual fight for prize places at the republican Olympiads in the profice and general-educational disciplines testifies to the high level of preparation of the students of the faculty. The most capable of them receive personal scholarships, prolong their education at the post-graduate-course and Salfors’k University (Manchester, England), at the magistracy in the directions of informational technologies.
