78 foreign citizens graduated from the SSU medical faculty and received the Diploma of Specialist's degree for the time of existence of the faculty. Today 54 students, about 30 clinical interns and post-graduates from Guinea, India, Nigeria, Sudan, Jordan, Iraq, Palestine, Syria and Lebanon study at the chair. They can choose Ukrainian or Russian language to learn. Educational and material basis of the faculty is located in 6 buildings, with equipped lecture rooms, computer rooms, operational section and laboratories which are completed with modern scientific equipment, diagnostic and medical technics.

During the period of education students have academic preparation in main medical specialties at the chairs of the clinical profile which are situated in the best medical and prophylactic institutions of Sumy.
Methodical aids and manuals on general medical and specialized medical disciplines for the foreign students and also educational and computer testing programmes that meet modern requirements are elaborated by the teaching staff of medical faculty, among whom there are many prominent scholars.
Foreign students of the faculty take active part in scientific and practical conferences, Olympiads and research activity. During the period of education foreign students get to know the history and cultural life of the city. They can use library, sport complex, cafe, canteen and hostels. The contests of the first-course students “Golden Integral” and “Mr SSU” are popular among foreign students.
