Chair of finances

The chair of finances enters the structure of the faculty "Economy and Management" of the Sumy State University.

It carries out training of students of the daily and extra-mural form of education, and also carries out retraining of specialists in the direction "Finances" – special direction Economy and Enterprise.

Qualification level - bachelor, specialist.

Finances is an individual sort of professional activity directed to the achievement of maximum effectiveness of the process of forming the subdivision and control of the use of financial resources at the level of the state and enterprises of different forms of property at the basis of market principles use.

Specialist-economist in the specialty "Finances" can work in the following organizations:

• organs of government (regional, district, city state administration);
• state institutions (tax check-up, pension fund, state Treasury of the Control Revision Commission, etc.)
• commercial firms, joint-stock companies;
• corporations, concerns and other unions;
• departments of the National Security of Ukraine and commercial banks;
• intermediary enterprises;
• exchanges, investment companies;
• insurance companies;
• at small enterprises, co-operatives and other structures of different forms of property of production and non-production field;
• in scientific-research institutes and laboratories;
• centers engaged in the problems of financial management;
• in the system of preparation and qualification raise of the staff on the financial-economical direction;
• consulting firms.

Specialists are economists in the specialty "Finances", who were trained at our university, can work at the following posts:

• main and leading specialists of different categories of the corresponding structural subdivisions of the bodies of the state executive power and economy management;
• heads - employers, individual family and private enterprises of different forms of property;
• heads of financial subdivisions and services of collective, leasehold enterprises, joint-stock companies, limited liability companies, co-operatives of joint enterprises and others;
• professionals in the field of effectiveness of the enterprise and rationalization of production of financial activity;
• heads-experts of financial departments of enterprises and organizations of different forms of property;
• financial directors of establishments of the production and non-production field;

Retraining of specialists, who have higher education, is also carried out on the basis of the chair of finances. The retraining is carried out in the specialty "Finances", qualification level – specialist with the certificate of the state standard.

The retraining is carried out in the daily form of education (5 years), extra-mural form of education (3,5 and 6 years), distance form of learning and retraining in the extra-mural form of education (20 months)
