General characteristics of the college

Machine-building college (technical school) was created as an individual educational institution in 1917. It was given the status of college in 1991 according to the decree of Ministry of hard building of the Soviet Union since March, 19 1997 № 218 the college is a structural subdivision of the Sumy State University.

The college trains junior specialists in the following specialties:

• 5.090227 "Processing of materials at machines and automated lines";
• 5.090246 "Chemical and oil machine-building";
• 5.090403 "Founding production of black and colour metals";
• 5.090107 "Enterprise economics";
• 5.080406 "Running of information processing systems and problem-solving".

Since 1993 the college has been conducting graduated training of bachelors on the specialties:

• 5.090227 "Processing of materials at machines and automated lines",
• 5.090246 "Chemical and oil machine-building",
• 5.050107 "Enterprise economics";

Since 2000 – on the specialty

• 5.090403 "Founding production of black and colour metals",

Since 2002 - on the specialty

• 5.080406 "Running of information processing systems and problem-solving".

According to the Status the graduates of the college, who have been studying in the groups of graduated training of the bachelors of engineering specialties, become enrolled for the third course of the university, of the specialty "Enterprise economics" – for the second.

Since 1999 there has been opened an extra-mural department on the specialties 5.090227 " Processing of materials at machines and automated lines" and 5.050107 "Enterprise economics" in the college.

The syllabuses of the extra-mural department of the college are agreed with the corresponding plans of the extra-mural faculty of the university that gives a possibility to enroll graduates of the extra-mural department of the college for the third course of the university extra-mural faculty.
